Sectra is forecasting RSNA 2007

During the course of MEDICA, Sectra already reveals a few details of what will be up to date at RSNA 2007 and gave an overview of their latest product highlights.

Next-generation Sectra PACS workstation family- solving the performance issue

At RSNA, we are launching the latest addition to our next-generation PACS workstation family, the IDS7/dx. IDS7/dx is a comprehensive high-end diagnostic workstation revolutionizing the radiologist’s way of working. Sectra’s patent pending technology for retrieving and displaying image data of extreme size eliminates problems encountered in working with large datasets, providing radiologists with the perfect reading tool in a data-intense environment.

Optimized for remote reading, Sectra’s next generation PACS is the ideal solution in a distributed reading scenario in which radiologists read images from multiple clinics. Sectra PACS features efficient distribution of datasets regardless of size through advanced streaming technology. It is designed for variations in network quality and also performs efficiently over high-latency networks.

A unique photon-counting mammography system

A growing number of providers of medical technology point to photon-counting as the future in medical imaging. At RSNA, we will continue to launch the next generation of our unique photon-counting full-field digital mammography system, Sectra MicroDose Mammography, L30. It is currently the only commercially available photon-counting mammography system on the market.. Sectra MicroDose Mammography maximizes image quality and increases throughput at the lowest radiation dose on the market.

Sectra MicroDose Mammography features the latest developments within photon-counting technology.Photon-counting is a technology for better images, lower dose and fundamental advantages in several advanced applications, such as contrast mammography, dual-energy and tomosynthesis. At RSNA, we will demonstrate a totally integrated solution for mammography screening, including Sectra Screening RIS, Sectra MicroDose Mammography, and Sectra Breast Imaging PACS, all designed to efficiently streamline mammography workflow.

Sectra Control Tower - Real time monitoring of system performance

At RSNA, we will demonstrate the latest version of Sectra Control Tower, version 2.2, an efficient tool both for monitoring the daily status of the radiology department and revealing long-term production trends in RIS and PACS. Sectra Control Tower allows generating of comprehensive reports to support daily management decisions and is an excellent support for long-term procurement planning. With Sectra Control tower we take operational efficiency one step further.

Sectra orthopedic solution

Sectra orthopedic solution includes advanced image processing capabilities and a comprehensive set of guides for pre-operative planning of hip and knee surgery. The Fracture Reposition Module brings functionality to plan and template complex trauma cases with ease. The latest version includes approximately 33 000 views of digital templates, from 18 implant manufacturers, including Synthes wide selection of trauma templates released for the US market.

With Sectra’s leading orthopedic templating toolset, surgeons can take advantage of digital technology to reduce costs, increase speed and workflow efficiency, and improve the accuracy of the pre-operative planning process.
