MEDICA 2007 offers attractive ancilliary programme

The congresses and special show events are up-to-date communication forums for MEDICA’s visitors. Numerous special shows and forums on varied medical-technological topics are concisely presented as an attractive complement to the trade fair. The language for most of the lectures, seminars and workshops is GERMAN !

MEDICA Congress (CCD.Süd + CCD.Ost / Congress Center Düsseldorf South and East) - A multitude of seminars, presentations and practical courses make the MEDICA Congress a unique event, especially for doctors Experts speak on today’s hot topics and tomorrow’s trends in in-patient and outpatient care. The programmes on the agenda provide detailed, comprehensive and practical information.

DKT (Kongress der Gesellschaft Deutscher Krankenhaustag DKT, CCD.Ost / Congress Center Düsseldorf East, 1. Floor ) - The congress of the German Hospital Conference Association is dedicated to various political, medical and economic issues in hospital care, ranging from the problems of the new billing systems and the optimisation of patient care to various organisational and entrepreneurial questions.

Physiotherapy Forum - (Hall 4, Stand A02) - The professional associations and therapists will make a joint presentation of new medical applications for physio / physical therapists, medicinal spa therapists, masseurs, orthopaedists and sports doctors.

MEDICA MEDIA (Hall 16, Stand A05) - The programme for medical information systems and telemedicine covers around 550 m2. A large number of speakers introduce a wide range of options offered by IT in special features, demonstrations and workshops on data transfer and networks.

MEDICA plus Exhibitors' Lectures (CCD.Süd / Congress Center Düsseldorf South, 1. Floor) - In their own presentations exhibitors show a specialist audience their latest developments with in-depth explanations.

MEDICA VISION (Hall 3, Stand H92) - Universities, research institutes and consulting companies show how innovations make the leap into industrial manufacturing and what high-tech products are in the pipeline.

MEDICA meet.IT (Hall 15, Stand C45) - Users of medical software in hospitals, doctor’s surgeries and laboratories in cooperation with IT providers present the potential of modern medical IT in expert talks.

MEDICA Business Center (Northern Entry, Ground Floor) - The meeting place for business visitors seeking business partners for distribution, production and joint development, licence providers or for offering licences and patents.

CareerForum (KarriereForum des Deutschen Ärzteblatts) (Hall 7.0, Stand C10) - Lectures and information on jobs and career planning for surgeons.

KKC Forum (Hall 16, Stand C76) - The KKC Krankenhaus-Kommunikations-Centrum (Hospital Communication Centre) organises numerous lectures and expert discussions at their stand.

COMPAMED Forum (Hall 8a, Stand G40) - The COMPAMED Forum and Special Show on microsystems and hightec devices technology is organized by IVAM, the German professional association for microtechnology. The COMPAMED Forum language is English.

Technical infrastructure for EU funded R-bay project

Carestream Health is a major technical infrastructure provider to the EU-funded R-Bay validation project, which aims to address the uneven spread of radiologists across member states. CARESTREAM Radiology and Information Management Solutions are driving the initial test platform for the project by facilitating remote reporting of images from hospitals in Denmark, Finland and Czech Republic by clinical providers in Estonia, Lithuania and the Netherlands.
