If you need to expand your diagnostic imaging services and a fixed installation is too costly but a mobile solution cannot cover your demand, Alliance Medical, Europe's largest provider of out-sourced diagnostic imaging services, reports that it could become your partner. "Did you ever think about a semi-static installation?" the company asks. "The services we can offer by far exceed the traditional interim and routing services for diagnostic imaging equipment.
‘Nowadays it is difficult for all healthcare institutions to justify not only the expenditure for high end tomography systems but also for the rebuilding and reconstruction itself. In particular, if the diagnostic service is needed for a mid-term use e.g. from some month up to five years or even longer, Alliance Medical has the answer to this need: Modular buildings!’
To give an example for a business model, the firm explained: ‘For a given monthly amount we provide the imaging equipment, a complete modular building, adapted to your requirements and the service cost for the ensemble can also be included. In the context of such a business model we also take care for the:
• FDG Logistic for PET-CT
• Helium Refill for MR
• Lead shielding for CT
• Service for the air conditioning and the personal application can also be included.
‘On top of that, a flexible combination of a semi-static installation and the mobile service can be provided by our company.’
Often customers also request a cost sharing alternative or a pay-per use model. ‘These -- usually very individual solutions -- are also part of our offerings to both private and public healthcare institutes across Europe.’
Additionally, the business models are scalable, the company points out. ‘This means we provide the needed environment or operate the complete imaging centre in terms of providing equipment, with or without medical staff.’
